Stories rooted lovingly in Honduras. Books made especially for Honduran children.
Stories inspired by the beauty of Honduras — its wildlife, landscapes, communities, culture and everyday life.
Simple, engaging Spanish stories created for early readers and young children.
Lola stories are being developed with accessibility in mind, including switch-accessible audio and Braille versions.
In our years of working in Honduras, we have seen the need for more children’s literature that reflects what children see around them.
Lola’s stories celebrate the country’s wildlife, landscapes, communities, culture and everyday life — helping children recognize the beauty of the place they call home.
Our hope is that Honduran children see themselves in these stories, feel proud of where they come from, and dream about what is possible.

Finca Lola is set in Marcala, La Paz — one of the best-known coffee-growing regions in Honduras. The story introduces young readers to the beauty, people and culture of coffee country while creating a natural bridge between literacy and the coffee community.
We are inviting U.S. coffee roasters, coffee shops, importers and coffee lovers to help us put Honduran books into Honduran children’s hands. About 50¢ can print one book.
Our goal is to make these books available free of charge to Honduran children, including children of coffee farmers and harvesters.
Lola is beginning with a small pilot program in communities where we already have trusted relationships, local partners, or ongoing work.
Our goal is to place books directly into the hands of young readers, teachers, families, and community programs — then listen, learn, and improve before expanding further.
Each pilot community will help us learn how Lola is used, which stories resonate most, and how we can make the books more accessible and useful for children across Honduras.
Early pilot communities include:
